Pediatric Surgery
Introduction
Children who face surgical problems either during birth or when they get older need to be treated immediately. We provide comprehensive specialized care, health management and therapeutic measures for the intervention of children’s surgical problems.
Definition
Our field is a subspecialty of surgery, which focuses on treating fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults who had birth defects or other diseases that required medical intervention. In a more specific sense, this field is further subdivided into neonatal surgery and fetal surgery. Other surgery specialties under our specialization include pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric nephrology, pediatric neurosurgery, and pediatric urological surgery. We will always be trying our best to provide the child patients the best health care ever in effort to combat rising child-related diseases.

Degree
In order be specialized under pediatric surgery, one have to undergo general surgery residency (medicine), then complete 2 years of subspecialty fellowship training. After completion of specialty training in pediatric surgery, the surgeon is then eligible for certification by the Board of Surgery of the country.
